today is my day off work. i picked ron up for lunch, we had shrimp salad sandwiches. very easy and very delicious! we got the recipe from real simple mag. we had them for dinner last night, we also had just enough leftovers for one of us. so, instead of fighting over it, we made more and he came home for lunch.
after dropping ron back off at work, i came over to my sister, holly's house. our sister, beth has been back in town for a while. she is making jewelry and i finished making my craft project from last tues., two pillow covers made from old shirts and old fabrics. they turned out great! i might need to add to them sometime.
i've been looking on youtube. watching baby's laugh, watching ghost videos, and then i was looking for the herbie hancock video "Rock it". i used to love that video. it's a far cry from today's robots though.
Last night, after dinner, ron and i ran up to redbox at mcdonald's. we had one more free movie, and the only thing we could agree on was 'into the wild'. we didn't realize it was 2 1/2 hours, and didn't finish until 2.30am. i would only recommend the movie if you have 2 1/2 hours to spare. otherwise, go get in your car, drive out 30 minutes in any direction, spend a good hour somewhere new, then drive home. you would probably have a better time. i guess it did help me realize there is so much out there to explore.
if you do want to waste 2 1/2 hours, go see 'batman the dark knight'. ron and i saw it at the hipointe (which is no longer run by landmark theatres). i hate to say it, heath ledger was entertaining as the joker, but not the reason we saw it. the action was exciting. ron and i nearly gave a high five after batman kick-turns off a brick wall with his bike.
the audience clapping at the end of the movie should be convincing enough that you should see it.
